The North Carolina Association of Broadcasters was founded in 1947 and  is widely recognized as one of the top associations for broadcasters in the nation in terms of legislative victories, education, services, benefits and legal assistance.

TvRadioWorld is an informational directory dealing with the radio and television broadcasters worldwide. The directory depends upon many people around the world to help us keep its listings up to date. Some of the features include listings of local radio and television stations on the web, in depth listings of local television broadcast stations throughout North and South America, including contact information. Also featured are broadcast networks, cable networks, satellite networks and service providers (i.e. cable companies, DTH, etc.), as well as a growing list of links to sites that deal with the broadcasting industry, such as community broadcasters, shortwave radio, Internet broadcasters, organization trade publications and more.

NCARES

North Carolina Amateur Radio Emergency Service, which has developed since 1935, is a part of the AmateurRadio Relay League (ARRL) Field Organization.  It consists of licensed amateurs who have voluntarily registered their qualifications and equipment for communications duty in the public service when disaster strikes.
